The Little Princess video above is a free movie for kids that gets an A+ recommendation here. A Little Princess is a 1905 children's novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett. The story has been adapted several times. This 1939 adaptation is lovely as Shirley Temple is, of course, delightfully cheerful despite the difficulties her character faces. This adaptation is part musical with a few little dances thrown in. The best thing about this movie is the incredible sets that as so realistic it feels as though you have gone back in time. The horse drawn carriages are particularly good and any child will love the glimpse into the past.

This free movie is about an hour and a half long and only has a couple of short adverts....and, of course, it's free!
