This charming film is about an orphaned girl called Heidi who is sent to live with her grandfather in the mountains of Switzerland. Her grandfather had been living as a recluse but Heidi helps make him happy again.

The film is good for teaching children about what is important in life....friendship, nature, caring, family. These basic things are so sadly lacking in the film industry today. We have to wonder why.

Although this is more of a child's film I enjoyed watching it. My daughter loved it.
